I'm running a Mercruiser 350 Mag / Alpha One in a 1987 Four Winns Liberator. The new ignition amplifier isn't stamped with the timing advance, mine is stamped V822. The wiring harness is for a Thunderbolt 5 mine is a Thunderbolt 4. I believe ignition amps are set for different timings. Its an...
As I'm replacing the sensor in the distributor, I notice the rotor comes off the shaft easily. My understanding is the rotor should fit very tight on the shaft. Should I just use LocTite when I reinstall it?

Replacing manifolds and elbows on 1987 Mercruiser 350 Mag. Lots of aftermarket kits, trying to determine which brand to use. Anyone have opinions on the best aftermarket exhaust kits?
It seems everyone wants to charge at least $1400 to replace risers and manifolds. Someone please suggest a good aftermarket brand because it looks like a fairly easy job so I'll do it myself.
Thanks
This has probably been beat to death but since I'm new on the forum, I'll ask. Comparable in price are the rebuilt SEI and Mercury outdrives, Alpha One specifically. Has anyone been running an SEI for a while? Comments on performance?
Thanks!
