I was just told my trim pump unit is bad and needs replacing on a 125 hp 1988 force. What is the cheapest solution? Unit still works when I tap the pump while simultaneously engaging the trim.
Power trim has always worked since I've owned the boat past 4 years.Except that it would not maintain position and I'd have to re adjust every couple minutes. Recently sometimes it will work sometimes it wont. Sometimes it will work if I tap the well/resevoir several times with a wrench.
