I replaced the fuel pump on my engine because the bulb wasn't staying pumped. Bulb stays pumped now but engine still starts and runs a little then dies...I can wait a few minutes and it starts back up but again dies....any ideas?

I replaced the impeller on my 1998 40hp force outboard and lined the linkage nuts back at the exact mark but when I shift into neutral the prop keeps turning. Is there somewhere else I can make an adjustment or any suggestions on what I should do?
My 40 hp will turnover but will not fire...cleaned fuel tank, replaced fuel filter, replaced plugs but doesn't appear to
be getting gas to the carb. Also, not sure if plugs are sparking. how can I check both areas?

My 40hp starts okay after choking when cold...once warmed up starts good, but at low trolling speed sometimes will sputter and die. runs fine at wot(no sputter or misses that I can detect)..what could be some of the problem areas?

I have a 40 hp force...'98 model. It was running fine until last sat....Had it wot for about 10 min. when suddenly we heard a knock in the engine. stopped and put in neutral and knock goes away. Put in forward and hear the knock. Have not had any trouble until now...any ideas???
I own 40hp 1998 force...when idle everything ok, but when power up in forward loud clatter or knock in powerhead...does not clatter in reverse. does anyone have or had same problem? what is the fix?
