    Exhaust cover removal 89 Johnson 50 hp

    I have to clean out the water ports since no water thru the power head. How do I remove the cowling to get to the bolts? I have that gasket and head gasket. Sure would nice to get the boat in the water! Any ideas are welcome. I can't find it any where in the Seloc manual. Thanks

    Coolant blockage '89 50 HP johnson

    Can't get water to the power head? How do I clear the blockage? Pull the head gasket maybe. I have ran water hose in empty thermostat housing, into the rooster tail port and up the water tube. Replaced the water pump and no luck. Any ideas? Any thing would be appreciated.
