    removiing oil injection??

    i have a 1992 mercury 40 hp with oil injection and i have been reading some posts on people removing the oil injection due to possible oil pump failure resulting in a blown engine. Should i be concerned about this and if so, is it recommended that i remove this? thanks

    Hydrofoil drill holes in cavitation plate? Good/bad?

    On my 92' merc 40 it has no hydrofoil but it has the holes for the hydrofoil drilled into the cavitation plate. Is this bad? will it effect performace planing ect. I was told that it is bad but am uncertain so i wanted to double cheak thanks.

    Stainless steel vs. aluminum prop?

    I got a 92' 40 hp merc oil injected 4 cyl. would a stainless steel propeller over an aluminum propeller make a difference on a smaller engine like this and if so what would it be? I was contumplating on putting a stainless steel prop on but wanted to make sure what the differences were before...
