small pocket in floor of 1989 Searay 220 Sundancer

The only access seems to be in what used to be the engine bay but I had a new bilge pump fitted there which works well and took any water away from there which wasn't much.

small pocket in floor of 1989 Searay 220 Sundancer

Thanks for the reply but there's no inlet or outlet for a bilge pump so where's the water coming from?

small pocket in floor of 1989 Searay 220 Sundancer

Does anyone know what the small pocket in the floor just outside the rear bedroom is for. It measures approx 10"x6" by 6" deep with a lid on it and always has water in it which sometimes spills over onto the floor around it. There doesn't seem to be any inlet or outlet to it when I put my hand...

Hi all from new Searay owner

Can anyone advise? On my 1989 Searay 220 Sundancer there is a small 10"x4" x 6"deep approx cavity with a lid on it on the floor just outside the rear bedroom which always seems to have water in it but I can't feel any hole leading into or out of it. What's it for?

Hi all from new Searay owner

You got it exactly right. I spend most week-ends on it and the old engine bay can take a lot of gear.

Hi all from new Searay owner

I bought it to use on Kielder Water Northumberland so no need to get it on a plane as the speed limit there is about 6 knots. It's just a good looking floating caravan

Hi all from new Searay owner

I think mine is a 1989 that had a 5.7 ltr engine. I bought it as it is now already converted just to cruise around Kielder Water in Northumberland and therefore not needing any speed.

Hi all from new Searay owner

I bought it to use on a lake so no need to go faster than the 6knot speed limit there

Hi all from new Searay owner

Just a quick post from a fairly new owner of a Searay 220 Sundancer. Engine was removed professionally some 9 years ago and a pod and 50hp Suzuki efi outboard fitted. What a difference in fuel economy.

    2 stroke mixture ratio

I have a 2002 Johnson 9.9 two stroke outboard on a leisure 23sl that I recently bought. It was launched at our club yesterday and I started the engine for the first time. I understood it was 50-1 so put in 100ml of oil to 5 litres of petrol. The engine started but soon just died I tried this...

    Johnson 9.9 tiller lock

Hi all. I've just joined the forum as I have recently bought a Leisure23sl with a Johnson 9.9 outboard. My question is where is the lock or tension adjuster to lock the outboard in the central position so that it won't turn by the tiller, as I am being launched on Friday. Thanks in advance Mel.
