Problem getting the exhaust bellows to stay on.

I have a 1996 reined with a 5.0 L and mercruiser outdrive. I recently replaced the driveline bellows, shift cable boot, and exhaust bellows. I can't seem to get the exhaust bellows to stay on. It has come off 2 times now. I have cleaned all surfaces with acetone and sanded them to make sure all...

Looks like i will be rebuilding part of my boat this winter. I will be needing an inside transom plate and the outside plate (gimbel housing). where would be a reasonable place to buy this stuff? 1994 Mercruiser 5.0 L, Alpha 1, Gen 2 outboard. I have pulled the engine thinking that maybe the frost plugs had popped out on the backside of the motor. No, they look brand new. I replaced driveline bellows, exhaust bellows, shift cable boot, and the suction water line hose, o-ring, gasket...

This may be a real dumb question, but i am going to ask it anyway. I want to check things before i finish up replacing the outdrive, i am working on changing the bellows and hoses, etc. I understand that you can shove a garden hose in the water inlet hole and run it. Question is, where does the...

Need to pull mercruiser 5.0 engine out of 1995 Reinel

It appears that a freeze plug has pushed itself out of the block in the back of the engine flywheel area. I have had it confirmed by a shop that the engine will have to come out. Shop costs are $110 an hour. I am going to do this myself. might even learn something from it. I have the outer unit...

I have water running from the engine coupler on my mercruiser 5.0.

I took the outer drive off the back, but i can see that there is no water inside the drive line area. So i dont think it is the bellows, but i dont know. Water is running out of the engine coupler area. It feels like it is warm water, and i noticed my water temp. gauge never gets above 150...
