    Everywhere seems to be out of stock of 35-883702Q oil filter. Does anyone if an automotive would work for the fall oil change and wintereization? I can replace later or in the spring, so just need a temporary fix. I guess I could just leave the existing one on also, I don't think it would hurt...

    It stays there if RPMs are up but at idle ( less than 1k RPMs) temp feels like it continues to climb. Was idling in a slip getting everything loaded and noticed engine temp at 190.

    Bunk lag bolts

    Are galvanized lag bolts okay to use for trailer bunks? Was going to use stainless steel, but can only find 1" or 1 1/2" and was looking for 1 1/4". 1" feels too short. Thoughts from the experienced captains. TIA

    I was only able to get my boat in the water 3 times this season, booooooo, 4.3lx engine and alpha one Gen2 drive. With that little water time, could I get away with out change engine and drive oil before winterizing the engine?

    I thought going dry was the issue, but after it has sat for a few weeks, first pump and I get fuel spraying from the carb. I'll keep trying to find the right combo for start.

    92 4.3LX takes forever to start after sitting. After sitting I can see the carb spraying fuel so I feels like it's getting fuel. I normally give the throttle 3 full pumps, leave at 1/4 throttle and try to turn over. Is 3 pumps too much am I flooding it from the beginning? Any help or insight...
