    Thread shift shaft seal.

    Hi Does anyone know the what the thread is on a lower shift shaft seal housing? Mine was very corroded and I had to destroy it to get it out. I would like to be able to clean up the thread before in the case before putting in a new seal.

    Telltale for 165 Mercruiser

    Hi I have 165 Mercruiser with a heat exchange system. I am paranoid about running the impeller dry. Could I run a telltale jet like an outboard by tapping into the raw water system with a small 1/8th or 1/16th line running to somewhere I can see?

    Lower Shift lever bush MC-1

    Hi Putting my lower leg back together. I ordered a new lower shift lever and bush as the old one was bent. I thought the bush was worn out as the lever was sloppy in the bush. I now have the new lever and bush but the new bush has just as much clearance as the old one. Am I missing something...

    Inner Transom plate gasket

    I am just about to refit my MC-1 165. Do I need an inner transom plate gasket? It did not have one when I removed it. Will some sealer do the same job?

    Trim position sensor

    I have and old Mercruiser trim gauge that was running from a hydraulic trim sensor. Can I use this gauge (see photo) with the later Alpha 1 type gimbal mounted sender? I want to do away with the old hydraulic unit. Are the resistances different for the hydraulic and gimbal senders?
