    If you have easy access inside your bilge where the dipstick tube bolts into the oil pan, would that be an acceptable way to drain the oil?     Bought a used boat that came with snap-out carpets. It needs a cleaning but the actual carpet is in pretty good shape however the rubber backing is falling apart and in some spots non-existent.     Is the picture below the front or back of my bearing? my mechanic actually got back to me and is supposed to come help me get this bellow and bearing finished up tomorrow. I realized i dont have a bearing puller anyway and it doesnt seem possible to get the old bearing out without one..

    got the outdrive off today.. u-joints look like new, nice and tight. Gimbal bearing however has some minor rust around it. I also spun the bearing by hand and it did make a slight noise. Not terrible, but enough to hear it .its an aftermarket bearing as well. I guess it would be wise to replace?
