    Not trying to insult you, but did you adjust the valves at TDC on each cylinder? Did you check ignition timing according to what ignition system you have?

    Time to do a compression test on all 4 cylinders. Each one should be around 150psi. You can get compression testers at Harbor Freight for a good price.

    I'm installing a new Mercruiser OEM manifold on my 2001 3.0. Should the paint be removed from the gasket surfaces? I'll be using the graphite/metal type gaskets. Lets here the pros and cons.
