    Paint over antifouling paint

    We bought a boat and all the mechanical items have been completed and it runs great. Now on to the cosmetic....the old owner had some antifouling paint and sanded part of it off, but didn't get too far - but she did barely go through the gelcoat in spots - so it looks pretty ugly. We trailer...

    Is this hole supposed to be there?

    Discovered this hole in the gearcase. Will this hole in the gear case affect the performance? My husband says he thinks a cover goes over it. I think it's a straight-up hole that needs to be repaired. Edited to add 1990 sterndrive
