    Is there any difference between buying a 8.1 liter volvo penta head from a marine parts dealer or buying it say from napa since its a GM 496 ci Big Block?

    Correction: I meant to say Elanders publications in Sweden, if you give them the serial number of your engine they will have a workshop manual.

    Replace head and gaskets

    I need to remove the head a head from my 8.1 liter volvo penta. It is a 2004 fuel injected engine, my question is, do I need to have it at tdc before disassembly.
