    Frozen manual tilt

    No manual lock button. Engine is in neutral. Corroded tilt tube preventing engine from tilting. Took out grease fittings to find they were bond dry. Any suggestions to free up the tilt tube?

    iafter reinspecting the situation i believe the tolt tube is corroded preventing the motor from tilting. Came to this conclusion after removing the grease fittings which i paid soebody to grease to find out they were bone dry. Need suggestions now how to free up a corroded tilt tube.

    Frozen manual tilt

    I have a 1994 mercury 25 hp outboard with manual tilt only. Presently the motor is stuck down and i am unable to tilt the engine up. Have tried penetrating oil, wd 40, greased all the fittings- no go. Engine has been in down position on trailer for about 1 1/2 years. Any suggestion?
