    1995 Omc 302 replacement to 351 help

I got thinking about something, is this actually a budget build? Because after finding a motor and heads and having them machined, I still need to buy pistons, cam, lifters, intake, carb. It might be cheaper to buy a remanufactured motor. Than put the stuff from my old motor on it. Mind you I...

    1995 Omc 302 replacement to 351 help

Another quick question, what size of carb will be needed? Would a 650 cfm be big enough? Then mess around with the jetting to fine tune it ?

    1995 Omc 302 replacement to 351 help

I guess the engine would have to be a manual transmission. I don’t think the automatic flywheel is tuff enough. And the flywheel on my 302 looks like it’s something that a clutch would bolt to. If that makes any sense lol

I will check out the flywheel situation and pricing before I buy the motor. This truck motor build does sound pretty interesting. I bet it...

    1995 Omc 302 replacement to 351 help

Thanks for all your help! The 302 is carbureted. I was thinking about buying a 351 long block. I know I would have to buy a intake and carb. Does it need different sensors because of the bigger carb?Do you think the 351 has the same mounting width as a 302? Will it bolt right into the same...

    1995 Omc 302 replacement to 351 help

I have a 1995 chris craft with a OMC 5.0 302 ford. I’m thinking about replacing it with a 5.8 351. Does anyone know if this is going to be a big job? Will the Y pipe from the 5.0 work? Will the accessories and brackets on the front of the motor bolt right on to a 5.8? Would this be a direct...
