    Thank you for the reply. The codes do appear to be different between Johnson and Suzuki. I did not have a kill switch so I will purchase one and try the reset. I will let you know as f this process works.

    For some background info, I bought a 2003 Hurricane GS201 w/ 2003 Johnson 140 FI 4stroke in 2018. After the maiden voyage I discovered the steel plug/engine holder corrosion.     I have a 2003 Johnson J140PX4STS, 4 stroke . I had starting issues while on vacation. I have replace the starter and engine power cables which gets the engine started. It now has a 2-2 check code blinking and is in failsafe mode. There is no longer an audible tone when the key is turned to on...
