Can't get over 2k on water

It seems trigger was the issue. Replaced and took out yesterday and back to running fine again. I appreciate all the help. Unfortunately, now it is time to winterize... Thanks again!

Can't get over 2k on water

Is there a test procedure for that? Can I do it at the lake still on trailer? In the 20's and 30's here, too big a pansy to run up and down the lake!

Can't get over 2k on water

Going to check carbs. Going to verify stator, regulator, and trigger first. The carbs are a pain to get off, will save them for last. Lol.

Can't get over 2k on water

1988 150 mariner. Rebuilt motor with new gaskets. Didn't pull pistons all "looked" good. Went thru break in procedure. Boat ran great for several trips. Now won't go over 2k rpm on lake. Will on muffs of course. On lake, it does if i go from WOT to idle most times. Rebuilt fuel pump...

Stator tested good. Will be the weekend at best before I can get back on water, weather depending. Will try primer bulb then. This thing is driving me crazy

I put in barrel yesterday evening and all seemed fine. Just hit 3k in gear for a sec with no issue. I know not supposed to do that but closest lake is 45 minutes. If winding is bad, would it still accelerate OK in a barrel but not with a load? If so, will check windings this evening

Just dies, no rough running. As you give more throttle just quits.
