    Was just on the water again, it did it again so I unplugged the temp sensor and it ran as normal(I only revd it up and wasn’t bucking ) then plugged back in again and started bucking. Believe the temp sensor is doing it’s job and the thermostat is stuck closed.

    Yea I bought a new tstat And gasket going to take it with me when I go to this weekend and hopefully that fixes it. Im thinking it’s stuck closed, so when I idle a bit above resting it cools it enough to get going

    also i cant get out of this mode for 5-10 minutes it wont let me get going at all i have to keep trying for 5-10 minutes. that's why i thought electrical sensor because it wont let me get out of it.

    Looking at buying a new 2020 tohatsu tiller motor that is currently pull cord, but looking at adding electric start to it. Is it simply done ? Is there a kit? Price seems right if I can add it reasonably. Thanks in advance

    Will also mention I had it running with the issues it smelt hot so I took the hood off went to touch the water jacket cover could t even touch it with out being soo hot. That’s why I’m leaning towards not a ignition issue. Like so many say. I don’t think an ignition problem will cause overheating.

    It seems as though every time I putt out of the channel slow. I then go to power up once I get out and it does it every time. I think it’s over heating when it’s idling then when I go to power up after running for around 5-8 minutes at 4mph once I hit the main channel to power up it does this.

    Yea it is, that reminds me. When I was playing with the fuel pump where the line goes into it where the screen is I couldn’t get that to tighten up to the fuel pump. Wondering if the new o ring is too fat and won’t allow it to tighten up

    Ok cylinder cutting out? It happens intermittently. I’ll be running and all of a sudden engine kicks up and starts doing this. Some also said over heating but it’s peeing fine. New pump

    No I totally understand, ive been chasing this problem for some time now because it would run fine before then lose grip and slip for 2 seconds than catch again it almost seemed like a fuel issue at first so I did fuel pump and lines just wanted to prove it before I did it ran to the lake again...

    Final test I concluded tonight the prop on and spun it by hand and although it felt hard to spin is slipped you can tell by the black lines on the prop 4 turns it almost went all the way around.
