    4.3L mercruiser engine

Just purchased one, the water pressure sensor is going to be replaced as well as the thermostat with the other one being tested when removed.

exactly! unless the thermostat is stuck open. But shouldn't a code by thrown for that as well?

    4.3L mercruiser engine

Yes, the water pressure is way too low, what doesn't make sense is that if the water pressure sensor is faulty, I would expect that it would throw a code and that the engine temperature isn't anywhere near what it is supposed to be. Which is throwing me for a loop. I ordered a new water...

    4.3L mercruiser engine

So I connected my vessel view and ran it under load and took multiple snap shots. I am getting an alarm at idle when I first start the boat and again above 3500 rpms. The oil temperature and engine temperature, I believe are very low. The other concern is the water pressure is also very low...

    4.3L mercruiser engine

2007 engine. Engine has been scanned with a scan tool. Everything checks out. I am trying to find where I would find the plug that goes into there. I can't find a wiring diagram, which I am trying to find for the plug

Attempting to find the wiring diagram for this? I have looked around and can't find the plug that would is supposed to go in there. Any assistance to point me in the direction of it would be greatly appreciated as I'm running into the issue below. I am getting a single beep alarm at idle and...

Follow up Mercruiser 4.3L MPI Single Alarm

All- I posted previously about receiving a single alarm at approximately 2000 rpms on a 2007 Sea Ray Sport 185 4.3 L Fuel Injected engine. Fast forward and I have now replaced practically every mechanical and electrical component for this boat that could potentially cause the alarm (water...

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

After tomorrow, thats going to be the case cause he is calling it quits and can't figure it out. Talked to my buddy who said it could be the ignition control valve. Problem is that im 14 hours into work at 125/hour and no solution. I almost want to ask him to check it but if its that im...

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

@dubs283. I found the connection to the ECM to have it scanned as I hooked up the vessel view to it. I just got off the phone with the boat mechanic and he said that he has never had to do this before but he is tapping out cause he can't solve the issue. He spoke with mercury technicians and...

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

So follow up. Boat being looked at by a mechanic. They’re are “thinking” it’s the rotor because the metal tab was broken. My concern is that there isn’t a plug that attaches that communicates with the ECU. Would this trigger an alarm with no electronic connection?

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

I also checked the thermostat (and tested it putting it in hot water) and the cap and rotor which all looked great.

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

The follow up question I have is, if the water pressure is that low-no code is being thrown-could my circulating water pump be the issue? and it not throwing a code?

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

I also thought the water pressure was low especially with a load. Here's my concern though, clearly the water pressure sender is working as its providing a reading. I checked the impeller and even though its "formed" (which I have a new one and can change), if the pressure was too low or even...

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

Is that what the correct water pressure should be? I checked the impeller the other day and it was perfectly fine.

I used the info provided to get other readings from the vessel view. I have posted them below. To be honest, I have not researched what normal readings should be, but any input you have please let me know. The last screen shot is right before the boat when into guardian mode.
