    Yes works fine opening and closing, rebuilt carbs and fuel pump also

    Im having a hard time on its first start, when i put my hand over the carb while cranking, gas flows pretty good and starts right up, what could it be?

    i have an 85 hp force 1989, just rebuilt carbs and set at 1 full turn. it runs ok but i would like better throttle response. should i adjust the carbs separate or in sync with each other

    Hey man thanks for the tip, i went home opened up the fuel pump and the diaphram had 2 large holes. I have the new one coming in soon. It seems like the pump builds its pressure from that middle cylinder, but have you heard of someone hooking one of these up to replace the origianl pump with...

    poor idle sluggishness, cleaned out the small screens and seems to be running steady.

    check valves are located where on the engine, do you have a pic of the location. sry very very new to outboard engines but am pretty decent with car mechanics.
