    Mine just has one coil and One sensor both have been replaced and tested, I am so lost I just don't know what to do so as soon as my multimeter gets here I was going to start at the top and work my way down and check every single wire and every single plug till I find out what's causing it

    N0 I have not? There's an over temperature switch and a 1988 evinrude? Also I did not see what that second coil would be from the illustration mine did not have a second and they also don't show what it is coming off that coil

    Tiller and checking by spinning the crankshaft bolt with drill and pull cord.

    Thats about where im at , luckily i had some other parts to use, so im only out about 75-80$ so far. Any idea what a boat shop would charge to sort this kind of thing out? I know thats entirely subjective to what they need to do to sort it out, but a ballpark idea

    Is this the cd2 power pack? Ive swapped out for brand new power pack. Again i can post pics of anything anybody would like to see on the motor. Im so frustrated and really dejected right now. This dang motor haha

    I considered this, but as before mentioned, the coil and the sensor have switched out for new parts. But to answer your question, i have not. Im ordering a multimeter, but at this point im very frustrated wth this motor. It should work, it should have spark and be easyvto find any discrepencies...

    Yes on the blue irange to the top coil. Everything looks correct per duagrams. Even cleaned down all the contact surfaces and reground everything as it is shown. Yes all the pins are correct in making good contact. I am so baffled does anyone want a free motor?

So I started looking at diagrams on here for 20 to 30 horsepower Johnson's and just following it to a tee pulling off every screw and cleaning it sanding every contact point and regrounding everything.     Yes I agree it is either that or a short on a ground wire or something like that but I can't see I do need to get a multimeter I just don't have one and I was hoping somebody had ran into a similar problem. I guess I can just buy a new coil for up on the flywheel because so far I haven't had to...

    So just to recap.it has the 2 side coils new replaced, the power pack newreplaced, the stator sensor bew replaced and new plugs. No spark

    Well its new and replaced as I stated earlier. I'm thinking this is a ground wire somewhere that I can't see, and or possibly ignition coil up in the flywheel? And or something to do with the aftermarket kill switch. But i really am just spitballin over here, i dont know crap haha

    Anyhow i pulled the 2 wire kill switch all together just to see if could generate any spark, one side was grounded behind coil bot and one wire was afore menioned in the 5 pin plug...still nothing.
