    Yes if I spray starter fluid it turns on for alittle Ya I tried that but it’s not exactly at 28 it’s maybe around 25 and when I try to adjust it to 28 at wot it doesNt move no matter which way I turn the screw

    Also now the motor doesn’t even wanna start with the new stator which is weird since it’s getting more volts not 210 but more. And all the leads are labeled so I put it where it goes.

    Yea it’s all hooked up correctly. In the manual it refers to them as magnets yes they are close but not on the spot so when I go to adjust it nothing happens if I turn the screw in or out the trigger moves but the timing doesn’t.

    The magnets on the out side of flywheel look fine but the magnets in the middle I’m not sure as they are in cases in the flywheel. I also already have the grounded cables disconnected as I think there’s a short in the boat harness because I get no spark with it connected. And as for stator...

And either at wot or neutral it doesn’t adjust neutral the tdc is close to the main mark and then at wot its at like slightly less the 28degress and wont adjust.     Or do I have 2 broken triggers. It just doesn’t make sense because the timing was adjustable before I changed it for the new one. I even changed it back to the old one and it doesn’t adjust Or am I reading the multimeter wrong since I have it set to 600 instead of 400 like the manual says

    Update. I got a new cdi stator installed it put all the leads correctly. When to time it and it still would not move. The tdc mark stays relatively close to the main timing marker. It also doesn’t even putter now before I could get it to start for a second or 2 now it doesn’t even want to start...

    Also I took the carbs out gave them a very very thorough cleaning and the floats were adjusted properly according to the manual. Some I’m not sure why the carbs are leaking. Also the carb covers have a pocket to catch gas. Does that mean it’s ok for some gas to come out

    I got the multimeter set to 600 my highest dc volt setting and it was putting out 164 between 1-2 and 154 volts between 3-4 for the stator. It says to set the multimeter to dva 400 but I only have 200 and 600 is 600 ok?

    I was also looking at the service manual and saw that there’s a magnet in the fly wheel for the trigger. All the threads for the puller stripped out so I had drilled and tapped new holes I didn’t hit any thing and it seems like I didn’t hit the magnet.

    So I changed back to the old trigger after fixing the terminal and I still can’t adjust the timing at neutral it’s a tad bit to the left of tdc at wot it’s a like in between 28 and 30
