    Ok, update here, I managed to get that nut off and there is no o-ring or any type of gasket there. The aluminum sleeve just threads down into the moulded plastic of the tank. Should I put an o-ring under that nut, make a gasket, or use some permatex motoseal gasket maker?

    Thanks guys, yes definitely no shop vac!! Yikes! Ok, then to replace sender rubber gasket, can I just make a new one out inner tube or do I need to find a part for that? The vent tube does have a loop to keep water out, but has been hard to fill this year, I will check it for blockage.

    Hi everyone, I noticed a fuel tank leak on the elbow that comes from the pump into the tank. See picture, it’s leaking between the large nut and the tank. I’m wondering if anyone knows if there is an o-ring under there or how it’s sealed? Wanted to ask before I try and undo it in case there...
