    Thx, found a local specialist. He welded the cracks then reinforced it with plates. Also welded the trailer frame and welded shut the live well ports in the transom that I wanted gone.

    Yes I agree. It’s actually the reason the boat is ripped apart right now. I know of at least 6 rivets in the area that are compromised. Thanks for the input. Reinforces (non pun intended) some things I was considering.

    Like when I avoid checking my bank account.. I just took a closer look at the remainder of the braces. Yea, 8 have at least a hairline crack. I’ll get it in somewhere for repair.

    Ok thx. I was thinking that if I had it welded, the hull flexing would just crack the weld. Also thought about getting aluminum c channels and having it welded on over top of that beam.

    I am working on a 1989 Sea Nymph GLS195. When I got the floors cleaned up, I found this crack as well as the aluminum piece just above it, to be separated from the rivets. Im thinking about riveting the upper piece back on, but not repairing the lower crack. Has anyone seen this before? Any...
