    Yamaha 4hp 4 stroke issues

    Took the boat out for the first time this year the other day. I fired up the kicker and had issues the throttle wouldn't go up all the way and it would also surge at the same setting then it would go full throttle without the throttle being applied eventually it died and would not start up again...

    87 Johnson 50 Surges at WOT

    I rebuilt the carbs recently and when i took it out to try the RPMs would surge when it was at WOT. up to about 4200rpm was ok, then the surging would start when i got back to the dock it wouldn't even start, it would just crank any ideas would be appreciated Thanks

    What type of boat is this?

    Does anyone know what manufacturer made this boat? Model # also? It doesn't have a hull ID number, nor a compliance plate or any markings...<br /><br /> <br /><br /> <br /><br /> <br /><br /> <br /><br />Boat is fiberglass and is 18ft long<br /><br />Thanks

    What year is this Engine?

    The Outboard is a Mercury 1500 S/N 7049011 inline 6 @ 150 HP and it has the blue lettering / etc on the cowling. What year is this motor? :confused: Thanks
