    Thanks Scott That’s what I was thinking. I added a 7 amp inline fuse and moved it to the ignition purple wire. I will check it out in the morning and see if the choke works better. Thanks again. Cheers!

    I have another question I wired the purple/white wire to the top left post per wiring diagram. Checking voltage. This post only puts out 7 volts to the choke. Holly And Rochester carbs only need 7 volts for the electric choke. The edelbrock 1409 needs 12-14 volts. Can I add the purple/white wire...

    Installed the new Walbro FRB 13-2 fuel pump today.(nice pump) Ended up resealing all the fitting threads with Gasoila thread seal. The pump was noisy getting it primed.     Is there a better electric fuel pump than the Carter? I don’t like it that a brand new pump is leaking in my engine compartment. I have a replacement Carter pump coming. I may send it back and find a better pump.

    Thanks everyone for your help. I fired it up today. With a few adjustments to the carb at idle. Dialed in the fuel pressure to 5lbs. It runs great. The Carter fuel pump is loud. I will probably replace it with a better one in the spring. Not sure which pump is better for this application...
