    Grease Seal to Spindle Fit

I use the exact same one. I will stick it in a large vise if it's too cold out. I have a couple of them for different types of grease and the cap keeps everything clean so you don't have dirt issues like those screw together ones with the zerk fitting.

    Battery cable

My 2025 150HP Mercury outboard on my Bennington tritoon came with 4 AWG wire. It has a 8 foot one way run approximately. The length of the run makes a difference. If its longer you use a larger wire. When I put in new battery cables in a boat, I always use marine tinned wire. If you make your...

    Grease Seal to Spindle Fit

First thing I do when I buy a new trailer is remove the Chinese bearings, replace with US made Timken and hand pack them. On my travel trailer, they get pulled and inspected every one to two years. On my boat trailer, I go a little bit longer since I only dunk my trailer once in the spring and...

    Grease Seal to Spindle Fit

When the hub comes from the manufacturer, the hub is not full of grease. It takes many many pumps of grease to eventually see it come out the front bearing even if the seal doesn't blow. I never ever use the LAZ-Lube method. I pull the hubs and manually pack them. No need to use it if you do it...

    Grease Seal to Spindle Fit

LOL...when I pull my bearings, I clean them...look for pitting and damage...repack them. I have seen the damage that using the LAZ-Lube system does. VERY easy to blow a rear seal and if you have drum brakes, you will have no idea. Kinda like this guy did...used LAZ-Lube on a warm day, spun the...

    Grease Seal to Spindle Fit

well no...you don't. Even Dexter, in their manual, says to hand pack the bearings. If you hand packed the bearings initially and then used the Laz-Lube method with the zerk, of course they will still appear packed since that is what you did initially.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

I have two boats that get moored on lakes. Neither one needs to be painted.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

I said I would never buy a boat with bottom paint...that is my choice since I don't need it! since I am either always in fresh water or in salt for just a day

Maybe my turn for new boat time

I don't keep my boat moored in salt water. Bottom paint slows the boat down and looks horrible.

    Grease Seal to Spindle Fit

The whole purpose of a bearing buddy is to keep the hub slightly pressurized. You properly pack the bearings by hand to get the grease into the bearings. You don't use the axles with the zerks to grease the bearings. You hand pack them.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

I would never buy a boat with bottom paint...unless I was going to be moored in salt water which would never happen.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

Both of my boats only get used from May to October. In my mind, its makes no sense paying high interest on a boat ever...no matter how much you use it.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

I bought my 2025 Bennington Pontoon last August 30% off list. Boat sales are currently WAY down. I always pay cash for boats....cars too for the most part unless they are offering a really low interest rate which ios less I am making in a money market account.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

Right now, 30% off is easy on a Cobalt. Not sure what Formulas are but I bet similar.

Budget friendly MEFI 1 communication tool

Do you have TBI or MPI? I have a Rinda Diacom for two of the boats I have. It may be overlkill for your engine since there aren't that many parameters. The blinking light is goo if there are codes set but it won't tell you the following which the Rinda Diacom will tell you. Might be too...

Maybe my turn for new boat time

And you bought his type boat to get away from sterndrives! When it comes time to buy my new Cobalt, its going to be hard to switch to outboard.

Omc outdrive knocking noise while cruising.

On newer Cobras, they use a different bushing for the bellcrank that has a zerk fitting which allows you to fill with grease with a grease gun after you put it all together. You basically punch the old one out and tap the new one in place. I did that with my 87 Cobra.

OSU played horrible in first half. Played much better in 2nd. Miami has a GREAT defense.
