    I have a 84 evinrude 9.9 that I would like to get more power from. I heard that you can just change the carb to a 15hp carb. Is this true? and if it is, where can I get the carb and how much? Any other power tricks?<br /><br />Thanks :)

    Evinrude 9.9 bogging down

    Help... My 84 9.9 had a carb job about a year and a half ago, ran great... I ran the gas out of the carb and it sat in the garage over the winter... When I went to run it last week it spit and spuddered for a while and finally would run. At full throttle it revs up and down on its own and bogs...
