    fresh water flush

    Is there a special part needed to plug in to the freshwater flush on the back of the motor. I have a quick connect hose coupler from home Depot but it didnt' seem to fit for me.

    What RPM for 96 225 Merc.

    Finally got to use the boat this weekend and I think my prop may have too much pitch. I couldn't really get over 5,000 RPM. There were three on board and a full fuel tank but little other gear. Stamp says it's 15 1/4 x 15, don't know if it's be reworked though. It's on a 1973 23' Tsunami...

    This winter I bought a 94 merc 225 (carbed). Running it on earmuffs in the driveway the idle rpm is around 1500. Is that normal? I would have expected about half that but I wonder if it's due to the lack of back pressure on the exhuast. Also when I try to move the throttle up, the RPMs won't...
