    Is this a true statement?

    "If you use an aftermarket shift cable, it will never adjust correctly as they are too short. About 1/4"." This was a statement made to me by an old salty and I was just wondering if anybody else had heard of this? Thanks, Last Call

    Shift Cable Adjustment........

    Shift cable was replaced and now I can not get it to shift correctly. Orginally shifting into forward would kill the engine, fixed that. But I'm still getting ratching and a "bang" sometimes going into gear. The neutral safety switch does not move at while going through the shifting process...
