    Voltage is 2 volts differance at gauges??

    I throw a test meter on the batteries and it reads 13.5, my GPS with the shore power battery charger on will read 13.5. turn off the shore power and start engine, gps reads 12-12.3. even when cruising the gps will read 12 or so.     Alpha 1, How much left to right play??

    Hi Boaters: 1989 Mercruiser 5.0 with Alpha 1 outdrive. There seems to be alot (8-10") of free play left to right. Is this notmal? The boat at low speeds does the left to right walk as well. If this is too much, what do I need to do to fix it?? Thanks
