Hi Folks, I have a 1987 90 hp 2 stroke that was running fine and all of a sudden came down to a rough idol and then shut down. After I got it home I checked the compression and it reads 105 on the top two and 0 on the bottom cylinder. It doesn't seem to have consumed very much oil from the resevoir. It will crank but naturally it sounds rough. Are there any possibilities other than a burnt piston or blown motor? Thanks for any help.

lots of possibilities, but most of them bad, at minimum, remove the spark plug on the bad cylinder and have a look inside with a torch, or pull the head to have a proper look, I don't think you are going to like what you find.
