01 25 hp merc runs then dies

have to pump up fuel with primer bulb, then runs fine for a while then dies and have to pump bulb again. have done fuel pump and carb rebuild, checked float level. kit did not include needle valve. replaced primer bulb hose and new gas tank. thinking possible sticking needle valve? Where is anti syphon valve?

i've also checked compression 120 lbs each cylinder, I by passed filter assembly straight to pump and same results. Next thing i'll run a straight gas line from tank to fuel pump with out quick connector

well i tried by-passing all gas lines and fittings with a gas line straight from tank to the fitting to the fuel pump with the same results. Next thing is to pull carb apart again and make sure every hole and oriface i can blow compressed air thru in case i missed something. After that i'll throw carb in the lake! just kidding.

found new carb mounting gasket was missing hole. I made and engine runs great now.
