02 Glastron transformation- lots of pictures

I am new to the forum and wanted to share what I did to my Glastron. I bought this boat March 20, 2016 on ebay for $5600 with a trailer and only 149 hrs on a Volvo 4.3 gl. I got this to get back into wakeboarding so I needed to add a tower and a swim platform, among other things.The boat was in pretty good shape but it needed some refreshing, so I dove right in.

This is what I started with

I built the swim platform on the bench

Prepping the boat for the platform

I screwed the 2x6's into the boat and platform to hold it in place while I glassed it

Platform on and now prep to prime

lots of fun sanding to get her fair

Used awlgrip 545 epoxy primer- best primer hands down

and what about tape work? lots and lots of tape work

base coat is a Lexus metallic grey

green is GM synergy green

3 coats of clear

built a carbon fiber subwoofer box, dash, gauge cluster, and glove box door

out of the shed

mounting the tower

EVS foam on platform

Carbon dash installed

Freshly painted windshield frame and glass installed and new rub rail

and some music for the person wakeboarding

May 28,2016 First day in, not bad for 2 months, we ran it without the cushion because they were not ready

they came in

and fully loaded

Thanks gentlemen, I did not have to do anything to any mechanical systems except a new shift cable. She ran perfectly last year and this season up until the gimbal bearing started to go.Repair in process. Definitely not my first rodeo, I am a professional boat builder by trade, but I usually build full blown racing sailboats for guys with more money than you can imagine.
