fuse blows instantly when plugged in. I’ve looked for anything obvious such as bare wire and found nothing. What to check?

if the wires are not chaffed or grounded then the load at the end of the wire is blowing the fuse. disconnect methodically till the fuse stops blowing

or disconnect all related wires and reconnect methodically till it blows

typically the BATT+12 taken off the selenoid +12v from the batt. post is sent to the fuse & is then routed to T&T circuitry and sent to the front boat controls (START KEY _ T+T CHOKE etc... ... via a large side plug. pull it open and retry a fuse if OK then a problem likely sits forward

possibly chaffed wire grounding out

Thanks for the help. Found that when I unplugged the rectifier the fuse would not blow and TT worked and motor would start. I have ordered rectifier.

Make sure battery leads are on the correct terminals for your Suzuki motor.
