Hello, I just recently bought a 22' Xpress with a 2004 115 v4 2 stroke. The guy before me removed the the oil injection system. The motor runs great however it smokes A lot and uses a ton of fuel!!!!! I am premixing at 50:1. I know it had the progressive oil injection and it's made to run at 100:1 or 200:1 at idle and low speeds. Does any one know if there somthing I can do to compensate this. I also have a problem with fouling plugs. Should I run a hotter plug? Or re jet the carb? How do know if he properly removed the system. Most of the system seems to be still there. Any thoughts would be great thank you.

Unless you want to reconnect the system, enjoy the problems. This is why most knowledgable mechanics don't recommend disabling the system.
