This is a 2005 Suzuki DF15 that I bought a couple months ago. It ran great and was said to have very low hours and it really looked brand new. Anyway, I have run it alot since I bought it and it really runs very smooth except for cold starting and shortly thereafter. The engine must be choked for a little bit or it will just die right out. Once I can get it to idle, putting it in gear and throttling up only gives me a little acceleration and short bursts of power. Once this issue works through the system it runs great. If I stop and fish, the motor will start back up and go if it hasn't been off too long, if it has, it hesitates for a little bit before accelerating. Also, choking the engine while it is going and when it hesitates seems to bring it up to speed, but I don't do this. Does anyone have a term for this or know where this problem was solved in another post? If not, I would really like some help because Suzuki mechanics are a couple hours away and that seems to be my only option right now.
Thanks, Tyler
