06 Stingray 185- 3.0 Volvo- Running High RPMS

Any advise on what would cause your motor to run high RPM's all of the sudden and stay that way. 15-20mph at 3000 RPM 30mph at 4000 RPM? We were out riding this weekend pulling a knee board and the boat was running fine then about 2 hours into it the RPM's jumped up.

2006 Stingray 185 with a Volvo 3.0 GLP.

Have you checked the throttle linkages at the both the control and engine end?
