Last two (2) times I have gone to take my 07" Crownline out the battery was dead. twice in three (3) weeks. Two weeks ago I believed it was an issue where the radio was left on so when I put away I removed the radio faceplate.......Yesterday dead battery again. I change the battery again as I have two (2) new. Out on boat all day and gauge shows charging. I had an issue 25 years ago with a Ford van and the issue was there was a diode in the alternator that went bad and would drain battery down when not running. Once jumped in the am you could drive, start, and shut off all day long with no issues but when it sat overnight, the Van was dead again the next morning. Could this be the same issue with my Boat Alternator??........It just seems eerily similar......

Agree, could be

Remove the positive battery cable and put an volt/ohm meter on the amp scale between battery and cable. Start on the 10 amp scale and reduce down to see if there is any draw

Ayuh,..... Put a test light 'tween the battery post, 'n cable end,....

If it lights or glows, there a draw,...

Disconnect "Things", til the light goes Out,....
