07 optimax 200 not getting WOT RPM.

The engine is new to me and seems to run fine, Idles well etc. problem is I'm only getting to 5k on WOT. I spoke with a propshop and he asked if I had changed out the fuel filters lately and checked the throttle butterfly for wide open. He stated that he has seen a lot of engines that hiad rpm issues because the ethenol in fuel degrades the lines and partially clogs the fuel filter. I haven't owned an opti before so I'm at a loss on to it's location and such.

Also the butterfly on the air intake isn't opening to 100% vertical. I would say about 1/8"-1/4" from it. Any online resources for adjusting this?

This site sells manuals for your engine (see top of this page). I would check compression and maybe do a decarb (see stickies). Use a cup of Seafoam every few tankfuls. Also, try this link for online info.
