Figured I’d Introduce myself and start my build thread all in one.
I’m from DFW, Texas. I have been fishing ever since I could hold a rod, I did competitive bass fishing tournaments for about 4 years, and I helped run a Marina for around 3 years. I’ve worked on a lot of boats from 14’ Duracraft’s, to custom deck boats, to 120’+ houseboats. I know what I do and don’t like for sure. I’ve always been about finding the areas on body’s of water that people don’t go to. I’ve pushed a boat out of 2” of water more than once, lol. Enough of me, let’s get into the build thread.
I have a 2008 Tracker Pro Team 190 30th anniversary with a 90hp 2 stroke Mercury that I purchased January of 2020. The goal for this boat is to be able to take me wherever I want to go that is within the boats capabilities. I fish a lot of lakes in Texas, but this boat will be used from the lakes of Texas, to the bayou of Louisiana, to the Keys in Florida. It will be beefed up and handle more than what it could handle factory, while being nimble enough to do what trackers do.
Here is the baseline of the Build:
-New paintjob
-Performance parts on the 90hp 2 stroke Merc or swapping in a 150 4 stroke Merc
-Jackplate
-Keel guard
-Fishing lights front and rear
-New seats
-New carpet
-Custom console
-Livewell and storage lighting
-Upgraded battery tender setup
-Deck lighting
-Tackle storage system
-Trailer lights
-Stereo
-Filming mounts/points
-Spotlock trolling motor
-Power poles
-Hull plating
-Front graph
Etc.....
I will be doing all of this work myself and will include as many pictures, tips, and explanations as to why I did something as I can.
