1. Motor runs in start position for 30 sec to a minute then stops. Hard to restart then the same. This is in test barrel.

2. Replaced bad impeller. Rest of pump was in perfect condition. Now I get steady streams from a nipple and a hole on the bottom of the cover but very, very little from pee hole.

First of all can you post the model number?
As for the stalling after 30 seconds, try squeezing the fuel primer bub to see if this will keep it running.
As for the tell tale stream, where and how much water to expect is dependant on the model to a degree.

J15rcud. I just ripped carb off to take a peek. The gas bulb was hard as a rock when it stops.

Update. Carb was full of gas(does that mean fuel pump is ok)?. I cleaned it well. My engine is missing both parts of the air silencer covers. And the needle valve retainer was dust. Spark plugs look good but where tightened harder then I could believe. They are the right ones and gapped correctly. I was surprised earlier today when I took off flywheel I did not need a puller.

When was the last time it ran well? It may need a good carb cleaning.
You mentioned that the carb was full of gas, did you check this right after the 30 second run / stall sequence?

Just bought it. So idk when it ran well last. I pulled carb about 20 minutes after it stalled.

Also, back to water pump. The nipple part in lower cover is attached to hose, it makes sense to push water out. The other hole isn't attached to anything. So am I correct in thinking the water is leaking somewhere above lower cover?

Best thing to do would be to start the motor with the cover off and take a good look to see if you can find the source of the water.
Maybe it's somthing simple like a split tell tale hose.
I seem to be the only one replying to this thread so far but I'm leaving for Boston today so I wont be able to help anymore.
I expect some of the experts will be able to assist if required.

Update. Compression check was 92 in each cylinder. reinstalled carb and it is running good. But the low rpms are bad. I set low idle needle to 1.5 turns and tried moving a little in each direction. Any time in neutral when I twist throttle down she dies. And I still can not figure out water leaking. It seems to be coming out somewhere by fuel pump which is likely located on the tiller handle side
