i have a 1970 merc i/o, i/L 6, 165hp with bad trim switch wiring. my model only has one switch towards the top of the gimbal ring. where can i research diagrams and repair work for this?<br /><br />thank you for any help!
That job is a pain if you do it like it should be done. You can also "Bypass" the trim limit sender by "unplugging" the wires at the transom (inside the boat) and plugging them together. Boats before yours never had trim limit switches. Just dont over trim. You will pick it up quick.
