My Sierra 1 wire alternator just died last weekend. The new Sierra alternator (part # 18-5951) is a 3 wire unit. Where do I connect the two additional wires?

Any thoughts appreciated!

The single wire is not OEM, and neither is the one you are trying to install. You will have to add a wire to the system to use that alternator.
You may already have a purple wire near the alternator that was removed from the OEM alternator. That would hook up to the black wire on the alternator plug. You will need a 16ga wire from the engines circuit breaker (output side) to the red wire on the alternator plug.
