Unless you're a purist, I would put a fuel pump on it. I have a 1954 10hp with a minkuni aftermarket pump, but I wouldn't recommend it - go with a factory setup. The beauty of having a 10hp is that there were many made after 1959 with fuel pumps and the correct exhaust port cover to mount it to. Since the connection to the manifold vacuum is automatically made by simply mounting the pump to the powerhead, the install is much cleaner and there is much less hose routing to do - the installation is also much easier for reasons which I will not get into. It's also a good time to put a fuel filter between the new style fuel line fitting on the tiller and the fuel pump.
