11 wires?

I have a 2006 EZ loader that the electrical connector came undone and sheared off part of the pins. I still have lights, brake lights, left blinker but my back right blinker is now intermittent. I was looking at installing a junction box to utilize the 7 pin connector, but my 5 flat has 11 wires coming into it. I believe they ran two sets of wires down each side?? How do I connect them to a junction box?? Just stack all the same colored ones on each other??

Sounds like a "custom" wiring job. You may be able to pair like colored wires, but who knows what the installer did. Even if you used two complete harnesses, that would only be 10 wires.

It would be best to trace each wire. For 11 wires, I expect some to be unused, since you would only need 2 on each side for lights, to eliminate any splices. Add one for reverse power to brakes.

If you have a junction box specifically for trailers, most of them have wiring diagrams. Are your trailer lights wired in a 'star' pattern where separate leads go to each light? If so, that would explain the extra wires.

That is what I am thinking is the case. I am almost positive these are still factory, as I know the short history of this boat and trailer. but I could be mistaken.
