ANOTHER PROBLEM...MY ENGINE WILL START OK AND IDLE,,,,BUT WHEN THROTTLED UP IT BOGS DOWM AND STALLS<br />IT WILL RESTART,,,BUT ONLY PUTPUTS,,, WHEN THROTTLED... WILL STALL OUT,,,COULD IT BE A<br /> SAFETY ALARM KICKING IN AND WONT LET ME THROTTLE<br />UP...VRO ALARM COMES ON <br />F I PUMP OIL<br /> BULB IT STOPS I FIGUE AIR IN LINE,,, 110 JOHNSON 1989 SERIAL NUMBER IN BOOK <br />DOSENT MATCH UP WITH MY JOHNSON IS THAT UNUSUAL...JJ

Hello JJ,<br />It could be that your timmer dase linkage has come loose, not allowing the timer base to advance along with the throttle. Is the alarm for low oil,or no oil? If it's no oil it could be that the VRO is going bad. Just a suggestion

It could be starving for fuel also.
