115 4 stroke shifting

I have a 2003 4 stroke 115, shifting into reverse seems like the gears are not released and you get a slight grind if you do it slowly, if you put it in pretty quick it goes just fine no noise.<br /><br />I tried the adjutsment up top and it didn't do any good any suggestions?<br /><br />Is there more adjustment in the lower unit?

It's just the nature of the beast Tony.<br /><br />Just use a quick shift [recommended in the owners manual] and enjoy.<br /><br />Oh yeah, I've got the same engine, '03 115 4s, and love it.
