just replace the cables and throttle bar.. put the boat in full throttle looke at the buterflies opened up about 3/4 put the throttle in reverse butterflies did not evenopen .. is there something i can do with the throttle ,some part that may need to be replaced ? i have about 3" of play before i see the carbs open up . cables are set wright for the motor.. any feedback would help

Sure you didn't hook the throttle to the shift cable?

You may need to readjust the throttle cable at the engine end. Possible the cable end adjustment screw is out of position where it is secured in the air silencer base.

no cable is hooked up wright. when i first got the boat it had the same problem so i replaced the cables.but its still doing the same thing the only thing i can think of is the throttle control is worn.

What condition is the upper carb cam roller in? 330130. If the clear outer covering comes off, it will affect the throttle pickup and ultimately how it runs.

sorry i dont know what that isbased on the throttle both carbs open up the same . i can push back on the throttle bar and get the carbs to open all the way.

When you say you replaced the throttle bar-what specifically does that mean? The handle on the control box? When shifting, normally the shifter cable moves first into either forward or reverse, then the throttle cable advances the throttle once the engine is in gear. Is the the 3" slack you refer to?

yes the throttle control box the handle has about 3 " of play after its put into gear. i have not changed anything on the box . i replaced the bar that on the motor that the cables hook up to. from neutral the throttle handle is in the middle when i push the handle foward im past a 90 degree angle im just starting to move in the boat. i will put up some pics later today ...

first pic is throttle all the way down 2nd pic show the carbs did not really move 3rd pic is when the cable starts to move. 4th pick is neutral. when the throttle is all the way down i can push down hard to get the carbs to move a c*nt hair more
