I have a quick question. where is the pee hole on the 1979 115hp chysler motor. I sarted the engine up today in a barrell of water and couldn't see any water "peeing" out. I thought it might be the two holes on the back of the shaft. I let it run for a bout five min's the engine didn't seem to hot. is it time for a new impeller? or am i missing something. Thanks Mike

There is no "pee hole."

That engine spits water out the two idle relief vents on the rear shroud and through the exhaust snout. Sometimes it takes a good while for water to exit the idle relief and sometimes it won't unless the engine is run on the water.

The engine should get uncomfortably hot to the touch but not hot enough to boil water dribbled on the head.

SO: if it did not get hot in 5 minutes of running, that's a good sign.

BUT: If this is an engine you have recently acquired, it has no history for you. Thus you should make plans to change to water pump impeller, lower unit oil, fuel pump diaphragm, and add a disposable fuel filter between the fuel pump and carbs soon--best before you seriously run it.
